If it's metal,
we can fix it.
MIG, TIG and stick welding on Woodson Road since 1985. Aluminum, stainless, steel and cast iron. Bring it to the shop or we'll bring the welder to you.
No job
too small.
That has been painted on the front of the shop for forty one years, and it still decides what comes through the door. Some weeks it's structural steel. Some weeks it's one bent wheel, or a piece of somebody's kid's competition gear that has to be right by Saturday.
Either way it gets the same look and an honest price.

- A truck hitch that was about to let go
- A bent wheel other places wouldn't touch
- A bad weld cut off a Jeep frame without damaging it
- Martial arts competition weapons, fixed same visit
All four are jobs customers described in their own Google reviews.
MIG, TIG and stick, whatever the job needs.

Steel plate, welded and left as laid.
Repairs
If it's metal we can fix it. Trailers and hitches, frames, gates, brackets, cast iron, and the awkward one off thing nobody else wants to take on.
Aluminum wheel repair
The one we specialize in. Bring the wheel in and we'll tell you straight away whether it can be saved.
Fabrication
Built from scratch to suit: smokers, condenser cages, covers, frames, brackets. If you can describe it or draw it on the back of something, we can usually build it.
Portable welding
Some jobs can't come to the shop. We offer portable service for all welding needs, so the welder comes to the job instead.
The four we work in, in our own words.

“I have been using Gerling and Sons welding for 30 years both professional and personal, I have also sent at least 100 other businesses and people to them. I have never had a single complaint about their work or prices.”
“…My hitch on my truck was literally failing and these guys did an amazing job fixing it! Highly recommended them and they not only helped me out but they truly look after veterans. Thank you for everything, made it home safely only because of your hard work.”
“My new to me Jeep JK Wrangler had a large steel bumper/tire carrier from an XJ Cherokee booger welded to the frame by a previous owner. It put up a fight, but the crew at Gerling and Sons made quick work of cutting it off and saving the factory frame. The rate was totally agreeable to boot.”
“These guys are awesome! Came here two different times to fix my son's martial art weapons for competition. They were able to get it fixed right away. Will definitely come back.”

A family shop on Woodson Road.
We're a family run welding and fabrication shop, and we have been at the same address since 1985. The office door is on the left, the bay is open, and there is usually a forklift and something half finished in the way.
Come by between 7:30 and 4:00 Monday to Friday. If it's too big to move, call and we'll come to it.
